Are you ready to optimize your web presence? Do you want to rocket your business or service into internet marketing bliss. There are rules to play by when creating a successful SEO campaign. Google alone has thousands of factors by which they rank websites. These factors are based on the idea that the right content needs to get to the right person at the right time. For example, if someone searches Google for a mechanic in Austin, a computer repair shop in Seattle shouldn’t enter the search query. What you need to do is figure out how to play by these rules so your product or service gets in front the right audience.

Qualitygoogle

Google wants to rank the best websites. Google is a business. They want the best possible user experience. If Google is providing users with high quality, highly relevant websites they will be pleased and use Google more frequently.  Google wants to award rankings to websites that are seen as authoritative and popular and that are following the rules. These “rules” are Google’s guidelines that they have set forth.

Some of the things that you might consider as a “quality” ranking factor are: websites load time, keyword density, rich back-linking profile, and consistent website updates (i.e. blog)

Quality Control: Make sure that all of your links are quality, your website runs well and fast, update your blog often and share across social media sites and offer quality, on-page content.

Relevance

Take an audit of your back-linking profile. Where did you get links at and are they relevant to your site? After you submit your site to Google, Yahoo and Bing, it should be submitted to any possible niche directories as well. Also, you need to look for any irrelevant back-links. Links need to be  relevant to your site and other sites linking back to you.

Make sure that all your links are honest and make sense. People need to know where they are going to go when they click on a link.

User Experience

Ultimately, Google is trying to make the internet a better experience for the users. Every algorithm update is their attempt to refine this process. When Google notices that you are offering a great user experience they will reward you.

Be sure to link out to other authoritative sites. The idea of linking away from your page seems counter intuitive to some, but it ultimately makes for a better user experience. You help to provide your audience with a great experience on the internet when you offer other resources that will better help them get to where they want be; even if that is not your site. Your audience will begin see you as an authority when you share valuable links.

Optimizing your website for the search engines can be tough and take resources like time and money, but those that do it right understand how powerful it is. Don’t miss out on the true marketing prowess that SEO brings your web presence.
